The Cosmetology Program provides both classroom theory and hands-on
practical training that are necessary to the beauty industry.
It is a three-year
state-board-regulated program in which students are required to complete 1,250
hours allowing them to obtain certification and practice with an operator’s
license. Mercy cosmetology students earn their state-board-required hours and
must register to take the state-board exam before they graduate.
Upon passing
the exam, students will receive the Pennsylvania State Cosmetology License that
will allow them a promising future in providing services in nail care, hair
care, and skincare.
